Bangkok Inn: Reviews & Ratings
Run by a very sweet family; a staple in our Lakewood community. The food is always fresh, and I usually go there and get to go dinner. I love the green curry, the soups, Thai tea. You can’t go wrong
My Thai Basil Rice with Shrimp with medium heat is (currently eating ) delicious! My go to Thai dish is Pad Thai but decided to try a new dish. Very pleased with flavor - texture of the rice - shrimp plump and cooked to perfection. There was a funny smell in the restaurant (ordered to go) but it did not deter me from ordering and won't keep me from returning. Ticket: $14
I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years and love the food every single time. They work so hard and make the drive to Dallas worth it for delicious thai food. I love their corn patties, drunken noodles, pork satay, and more! Also, they’re so affordable!
The food is very tasty and had lots of flavor. The atmosphere is very old and in need of a major update. This place has been around for a very long time based on pictures on the wall and it's obvious they are most focused on serving delicious food. Quick service but not very personable. Would recommend for the food.
Love Bangkok Inn! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and a great value. I love the drunken noodles, but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is very welcoming, and the quality is consistently excellent every time I order. Highly recommend!
Corn patties at the best I have had. Small local family owned business, the daughter now runs it. Awesome service and authentic food. A lakewood staple.
Family-run establishment thats been around since the 80s. Thai food is GOOD; however, it tastes like a regional type, not your standard Thai-American I am used to in other restaurants. Very "pepper" heavy.
We’ve been ordering food from Bangkok Inn for many years. It’s our favorite Thai restaurant and It’s run by a very friendly family. Highly recommend.

Bangkok Inn stands as a cherished Thai culinary gem nestled in Dallas at 6033 Oram Street. This family-run restaurant excels in delivering authentic Thai flavors that resonate deeply within the local Lakewood community. The menu highlights showcase a vibrant palette of dishes that balance tradition with taste: the creamy, nutty Peanut Chicken offers a perfect harmony of texture and spice, while the Drunken Noodles with Basil burst with aromatic herbs and a satisfying heat that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
Equally notable is the Fried Rice with Pineapple, a dish that plays delightfully with sweet and savory notes, showcasing succulent shrimp or tender chicken amid perfectly seasoned rice. The Corn Patty, crisp on the outside and tender inside, reveals a comforting simplicity elevated by subtle garlic and white pepper nuances. For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert selection like Sweet Rice with Egg Custard and Fried Banana with Ice Cream & Honey provides a luscious finish that stays true to Thai dessert traditions.
Customer experiences consistently praise the freshness and flavor-packed dishes that feel both bold and homey. The restaurant’s longstanding presence and modest ambiance reflect a deep dedication to food quality over frills. Though some note the restaurant's rustic charm needs updating, the quick and efficient service coupled with affordable pricing makes Bangkok Inn a steadfast choice for genuine Thai cuisine.
As a food reviewer, my visits to Bangkok Inn reaffirm that this is a place where passion for Thai cooking thrives. The balance of fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, and family warmth creates memorable meals that invite repeat indulgence. Whether craving the spicy punch of the Thai Basil Rice or the comforting depth of their famous green curry, Bangkok Inn delivers dishes that are consistently satisfying and rich in cultural authenticity.
